Full Day Classroom

*Students have the opportunity to work on preschool readiness skills in a full day classroom. Students attend from 9 am-3 pm each day. They have the opportunity to experience breakfast and lunch daily in the cafeteria.

During the full day session, students work on social-emotional development, cognitive skills, Kindergarten readiness skills, motor development, routines, and procedures.  During the day, students will be engaged in large group activities, small group instruction, and independent practice.  Group instruction works on themes, letters/sounds, numbers/shapes, book handling, scientific concepts, gross motor skills, and fine motor skills. Teachers are highly qualified and skilled AASD employees that focus on instilling a love of learning and strong foundations skills in order to be successful in Kindergarten.  Differentiated instruction and adaptations are provided on an individual basis.  Classrooms are complied of students with and without IEPs with varying disabilities.
