PATHS

PATHS is our Social Emotional Curriculum that that stands for Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies.  The PATHS Instructor promotes Social Emotional competencies at The AASD Learning Express. Learning to identify feelings and coping with strong feelings are taught through PATHS lessons. Additionally, the skills of problem solving and conflict resolution are also addressed. These skills are very important and help form a strong and healthy social emotional foundation for children. PATHS lessons are taught through a variety of ways such as through music and movement, puppets and books. The following social skills are also addressed  during these lessons sharing, taking turns, cooperating and getting along with others.
